I hugged a hockey player
If only it were actually Anze... It was funny because his thigh was nice and warm and his opposite hip where I was holding was ice cold. More pics later, I am going to be dropped off to ice skate soon. No one else wants to so they are leaving me and going to spend an hour at Wal-Mart...

Up in Utah... boys are cuter
It's 10:43 pm right now in Utah and we just got back from dinner. In fact, I have a fork full of key lime pie in my left hand while I'm typing. Also, I'm listening to the Kings game on my computer and they just scored! Anze has three points already in the game (1 goal 2 assists). Amazing! Kopi it sounds like has a lot of playing time, I can't wait to see the game once I get home (TiVO). The picture above is a statue at the ECHL Utah Grizzlies stadium across from where we are staying. They are the AA team for the NY Islanders. My dad got me a brochure. There are a lot of hot guys here. Including two that my cousin knows. One game everyone 50% off our dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. One was Daniel and I dunno the other guy's name. Anyway, yeah... we are going skiing/snowboarding tomorrow and Kopi may be spending time at the beach!

My snowball fight with some of my Kings boys
My dad showed everyone this site called jibjab.com and you can put in people's heads and they get put into a various assortment of videos and parodies. They are so great! So below is a free one I made with Raitis Ivanans, Me, Kopi, and Frolov and Ashley. It's great, watch it. I need to fix my mouth though because it doesn't line up just right.

Don't send a lame Holiday eCard. Try JibJab Sendables!

Hitman!!!

I ran some errands with my mom today while my sister went to her friend's house. I got a clear case for my iPod at Wal-Mart, and I got this DVD. It has a second disk with the digital version of the movie meant to be uploaded to iTubes or Windows so you can put it on your iPod. I thought that was brilliant, because I spent 30 minutes this morning looking for it on iTunes but to no avail. I think all the DVDs should start doing that! I spent most of the rest of the afternoon watching the special features. The one on all the guns was pretty cool and I was shocked to see a gag reel on here as well. Hitman is an amazing movie... I'm gonna watch it on the plane to Utah. Also, I got nails and it is going to take a while to get used to typing with them on... but they are purple and white... Go Kings!
Speaking of Kings, I was wearing my Kopitar away jersey over my purple tank top and when I was going into the salon to get more volumizer, I heard a familiar whistle and turned around and saw Jaime. We talked for a few minutes until she had to get her coffee before going to school (cosmetology school, Tuesday through Saturday).
Yeah, so now, I think I shall go ahead and type some more of my story. I thought I was at a stuck-point until I couldn't sleep one night and remembered the All-Star break! And one more thing, I thought of something to add to it that is completely fictional by watching a Mastercard commercial... those adorable little kitchen knives! Heehee

Pee Wee Card Came!
I got my Anze Kopitar PeeWee card in the mail today... finally! Though it did come from Canada... I saved the envelope and whoever wrote it has really sloppy handwriting. I was so excited, it cam in a plastic sheet and a nice hard-plastic case. I have the eBay pic of it and then the picture of the back of the card I had to scan myself

It's so cute! and for 12 years old he was 5'3" and weighed the same as me now! Even though according to Mrs. Wells scale for the balloon lab it said I was 60 kg, Anze is 59 kg. Still, he has always seemed to be pretty much a big kid. I was playing with a weight converter and Anze has doubled in weight since then. Previously at age 12 he was 59 kg (129.8 lbs) and now at age 20 he is 100 kg (220 lbs)

I got my hair cut today. It cost $98. Then I went to the mall and got clothes... then I went to Kohls, and then I went to Michael's with Ashley and we spent like a half hour in the candle aisle sniffing all the candles, it was fun.

Utah in a few days! Yeah! I'm bringing my laptop though, so I will be able to stay updated. I hope we get to go ice skating in the indoor hockey rink in Park City, then I could totally say I skated on the same ice as retired Los Angeles King star Luc Robitaille! That would be so awesome. Nicky G. has a jersey autographed by him! He hopes if he decides to ever sell it it will be for a lot, but then again Nick's cousin-in-law is Kings current Captain Rob Blake. He's so lucky!

Sharks Bite No Longer
March 21, 2008 at 19:00 was the 1-month anniversary of seeing Kopi in person! Just thought I'd let you know...

Now, let's see. It was crazy yesterday. I had to drive my mom all these places and there were so many people! To make matters worse, I drove the truck... the GIANT truck. As Andrew told me once when we were out getting ice cream, "It's like a driving test all in itself." I would definitely have to agree, but if it was your first time behind the wheel, you would be very stressed.

I started making a Kings-colored bracelet with embroidery thread... I'm still working on it. Instead of the boring diagonal line pattern, I went with the chevrons.

The Kings came back and totally bit the Sharks' ass. They tied and then went on to beat the San Jose Sharks all in the 3rd period. Awesome! And I watched the Rapid Fire session during the first intermission and Heidi was with Cammy. Now, I can't remember if it was with Cammy or Army, but one of them was asked about Alexander Frolov and they said "goofy Russian." I thought it was hilarious and totally true. They talked about how funny he was and that he could make everyone laugh. Like I've said, it the kids' constant need for attention. Ha!

One other thing I just thought of... I printed out my story so far... it barely fits in one of those black pinchy clippy things. I made the font smaller so I wouldn't use up as much paper... it was originally 50 pages size 12 font Times New Roman. And the good news?... I actually have an ending in mind! So it might be actually completed! (Which is very rare for me...)Raitis Ivanans and Michal Handzus in yesterdays game.

One last thing for now... I promise. The next set of brackets were announced and Anze Kopitar beat Anlexander Frolov for the All Time Most Favorite player. I knew it was going to be a tough one but I thought Fro would have won it. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Anze won but I luv them both so I kinda feel bad for Fro. Here is their bracket so far (one of four, also there is the Black, Silver, and Purple bracket. This is the Gold):

Little Lubo and Pretty Grey Eyes
Only one more day of shit!!! It's gonna feel like a long day but luckily my last two classes after lunch aren't doing anything productive. I wore my Fro jersey tee today and I saw Little Lubo (that's what I'm gonna call him now, he looks like him anyway... just smaller) and there was a silent understanding between us when I passed him at break and he saw my shirt. Just a smile and nod is all that's needed. Kings play the 'Yotes today, I hope the Kings win, we need to catch up the Tampa Bay. We only need two wins (for four points) before they get anymore and then we won't be the worst team in the NHL anymore. I'm psyched to get a whole bunch of days off where I can just go down to the rink early in the morning and skate during the weekdays. I need to get Alleruzzo's number so and can text him to meet up with me sometime. And "The Official Kopitard" (not me!) is getting her equipment together so maybe she can join in. Also, I really want to go ice skating when we're in Utah. I really want to go to Park City to skate, because then I can totally say I skated on the same ice as Luc Robitaille! That would be sooooo awesome!

Raitis tellin' Brownie a few things... I think he ought to listen

I wish I could make snow with my skates... but rubber wheels on cement don't really do much :(

Kopi wants everyone to pay attention to his ass. I hope he's not their target for slapshot practice, and if that's the case I hope he's well padded.

When I actually viewed this picture large and up close, I noticed how amazing him eyes look. The look sooo crystal clear and sparkly. Sometimes they are grey, sometimes they are blue, but they are just so amazing. And Ivanans green eyes are really pretty too.

New hockey buddy! (who happens to resemble Kopi at times)
Seniors got basically got a free hour break today while the underclassmen had to go to election speeches. I saw the Anze kid eating an orange 50/50 bar, so I got one too. There was an ice cream truck there giving out free ice cream at 9 in the morning... yeah, smart. Duffy was "on a roll" today in Art History "like butta." I couldn't stop laughing. Marcus was really edgy all during 6th and was bugging the hell out of me when he kept pushing my desk around with his feet. I talked to Christian though and found out he played ice hockey as a little kid... funny because he reminds me of Kopi in this one picture I have of him signing an autograph. I told him we should meet up sometime and he suggested we play a little 1-on-1 game at the rink. We'll see. I can't wait for spring break... but hockey season (at least for the Kings) is ending soon... I'm bummed about that. And I am bummed that Jack Johnson won't be playing the rest of the season because of a non-displaced fracture in his foot or ankle. He was hit with the puck on the instep of his boot last night against San Jose Sharks :(

Also, during second intermission, Heidi did a Rapid Fire session with Anze and a few of the things cracked me up. Like when the strangest thing was watching Jack drink that Fear Factor smoothie and he really hates bad drivers and talks to himself when someone cuts him off (like me!) only I think we know what he means by 'talking to himself.' Also, the best meal I would definitely agree is "mashed potatoes and a good steak." Yummy!

Sully's Heartbreaking Story

^^ Patrick O'Sullivan^^

I was updating and sending pictures to the Kopi Fans myspace page when I saw a post about the Patrick O'Sullivan story. Apparently, and I just read about this today, CBC did an article about Sully and the abuse he suffered as a child from his father. It was heartbreaking to read and to find out about the tramatic childhood he had. Here is the link to the article which was released a few years back: http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/whoselifeisit/story.html

ESPN Magazine has a feature in its upcoming issue about Sully and I think an update about the former topic. He still just throws away letters he gets from his dad, who is trying to convice Sully to end the restraining order he placed against his father. I need to find out what stores around here carry the mag.

Another thing, I saw the most amazing photoshop background ever! Yes, it has the Ducks on it too, but it is sooooo amazing.

Hot hockey player at my rink!!!

I went to the rink this morning, well, around noon. I wanted to get up early, like 7, and go down for an hour or two but I didn't even wake up until 9:30. Anyway, when I got there (Ashley didn't want to go), there were 6 or 7 guys in their twenties that were just finishing up a scrimmage. But I wasn't quite sure so I asked them if there was a game and they said no. They were in spandex-type outfits with t-shirts (A lot like Kopitar below). They totally reminded me of the group in the picture below. It's immediately what I thought of.
Yeah, that's basically the bunch I saw. Too bad Kopi wasn't there. But one of the guys didn't leave with the rest of them. He stayed at the rink and was extremely good. He was flicking the puck around like it was nothing, and he was really hot. He had Tory's hair, kinda an Ivanans face, and Kopi's arms. He was totally showing off the entire time, and the second I stepped off the bench, I was making my usual warm-up lap, when I fell flat on my ass. I sat there for a few seconds, and luckily the hot guy didn't see it. But generally when I fall (which I don't surprisingly do often), it always looks something like this (scroll down).

Exact same layout whenever i fall... and I think I make a similar expression on my face, and me and Jack both fall on the same side of our asses. But it's all good. I didn't actually talk to the hot guy, but when I was leaving, I was walking right outside the boards near the corner when the hot guy slapshot-ed his puck straight at the boards where I was. It scared the shit out of me, and that's not the first time I've been purposely scared by a puck on the boards.
I found this picture of Nagy. I miss him playing, there are only a couple of guys with numbers in the 40's right now, and I already have my 41 (Ivanans) but I want my 47 (Nagy) back! He's congratulating LaBarbera here because the purple team won. The white team had to do sprints because they lost.
I love this picture. Lubo is always so happy. He never looks angry, sad, or upset. No matter what he is always smiling. And his eyes are amazing (they are a bright blue).
This guy is Scott Thornton, number 27. Now, I know he looks old, but he isn't actually that old. I think he's younger than Tory, he just looks old because of the beard. Anyway, he has an awesome body. I saw him shirtless when MadTV did a skit involving a few of the Kings (I mentioned it in a previous post). I just thought I share this picture. I liked it, I think because of the shoulder pads and the way he has his stick
Another example of Alexander Frolov's constant need for attention. I think it'd be really fun to hang out with him because he's got so much energy. And I can't help but think how adorable he is... and I totally saw his brother at the game! That was pretty awesome...

One other note... HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY BRIAN WILLSIE!!! (Kings forward #21)

Various pictures and just whatever
My Anze Kopitar PeeWee Card will be coming in the mail really soon... all the way from Canada!
I'm so glad we only have a week of school left and then two weeks of Spring Break! Yeah! I'm not going to the beach or anything, instead i'm going to the snow, up in Utah.

Yesterday, when I was recalling my day, I forgot to mention what my dad did at dinner. We went to Red Robin and there was a 10 minute wait so my dad put our name in. He was trying really hard not to laugh when he came over to us and he said we had to wait to find out why he was laughing... well, when it was time for us to be seated, they called "Kopitar, party of 4" and my dad was laughing. It flew right over my head and I was like, 'oh, that's not us, how many more people are in front of us.' I realized what my dad did when he followed the waitress after they called 'Kopitar.' It was so random, he never does stuff like that... He said he was hoping I'd get all excited and think that Kopi was at the restaurant. I didn't, I knew it wasn't him because he was on a plane flying from Tennessee to Minnesota.

I ran across this picture of Jordan Staal when I was searching for pictures of Anze. I liked it, so I saved it. He's on the cover of one of the NHL video games and was named the MVP of the All-Star game.

^^ Jordan Staal^^

This was too cute to not mention. Sully (Patrick O'Sullivan) with a fan. They are both missing the same teeth, only, the kids' will grow back

Captain of the Detroit Red Wings, best team in the NHL and has clinched a playoff spot. He's one of the hottest team captains out there... next to Sidney Crosby, who is only 17 days older than Kopi (Sidney 08.7.1987 and Anze 08.24.1987). Nicklas Lidstrom (above) has amazing eyes. I noticed them first either when the Kings played Detroit or in the All-Star Game

Here's a picture of Sidney without his shirt on (Google his name under images and there are quite a few different pictures of him missing his shirt)

I found another one. This is Ladisalv Nagy #47 who is out with an injury (probably groin, but I haven't checked) I really heart Nagy and I'm bummed i didn't get to see him at the game :(

My A. Frolov
I had a busy morning. I woke up to hear my neighbor across the street whistling for his dog, which I didn't really mind. I got up, showered, ate breakfast, and met Ashley to go to the rink. We saw Steve the UPS guy before we left, around 9:45 am and he was confused because Ashley had her backpack but there were skates in it. He wasn't sure if we had school today, but we cleared things up for him. Anyway, we went to the rink, I didn't find a puck this time, but the cool ocean breeze felt good on my sweaty skin. Of course I did my groin stretch on the rink before I actually skated. Ashley tried to copy it but had problems because she didn't have any knee pads. As soon we got back we went to the pool and I was happy to find out that it was 5 1/2 feet deep! So we stayed there for about an hour, and I got a little sunburned. Then I had to help put up crown molding and then i went up to the basketball court to skate and play Around-the-World. Then we went out for dinner, I picked up a new pair of sunglasses (since mine officially broke and the lenses fall out), and got a new shirt. I wanted this one at the TeamLA Store but they didn't have this name and number. See the picture below.

Mine is actually white, but it is still Fro. I also want a Kopi and a JMFJ one too, but I think those'll come later.

Even though I stretched beforehand, my lats are still sore and my arms are a little too. But I'm alright with it, it builds muscle.

Pee-Wee Pictures of some of the Kings
Dang, I love it when Kopi stretches like that on the ice :)You've got to be pretty flexible to play hockey and get around on the ice quickly. I've done this stretch (minus the ice, making it 100 times harder) and it stretches well. Here Anze is chatting with Brownie. Kopi looks so much smaller here than he really is, maybe it's just 'cause he's down low.

I found the cutest things ever last night. Pee-wee league hockey pictures from some of the Kings. They are so cute, and only (roughly) 12 or 13 years old! I think Kopi might be the youngest out of all of them. Here are some 'then-and-now' pictures.

Anze Kopitar

Jonathan Quick (Prospect)

Mike Cammalleri

Kevin Dallman (we have the same b-days!)

Best Goaltender Ever! Jason LaBarbera (I heart you mucho!)

My cute Nike boy
I'm so glad it's a short week this week. I woke up and was like "it's too dark to go to school!" And somehow in my sleep I took off my jersey and it ended up on top of my bed (I had slept in it after the game last night). I tried really hard to remember when I took it off but i just can't. But I do remember the dream I had last night. I think I had it because I watched the Tip-A-King video with Heidi Androl during 1st Intermission. They talked to Jack Johnson and asked Kopi what he thought about Jack and Jeff and Peter in those spandex shorts. He really had no comment other than the talk they give the three in the locker room.

My first reaction when I saw this was "awe, he is sooooo cute." I've never seen this picture before and it's always nice to come home from school and find new pictures of Anze. Especially when they are this cute. That's just so adorable, I wanna kiss him! (but what else is new?) So I wanna kiss him more! :)
That boy has a great sense in choosing numbers. Maybe that's partly why I luv him. The only bummer is, he's hurt, and pretty bad apparently :(

Like during last night's game. He was checked out at the blue line in the middle and the dude's shoulder hit Kopi in the face. I freaked for two reasons. 1. I was concerned about his teeth, knowing now that they aren't real... and 2. His helmet flew off and he was completely dazed. He kept shaking his head even when he got back to the bench just trying to shake it off. He was visibly disoriented after the hit.

Me and Kopi's Sexy Audi
I finished my essay, and my math homework. I also know some of the Kings favorite brands of cars. Kopi happens to like Audi, so I went online and found our future car. Now, normally I can't really seem to say that cars are good-looking, but dang, after seeing this car, I love it. I changed the color from the one you usually see in the commercials. I dunno if Kopitar likes this particular one, but I like it :) It's an Audi R8

I love it! Raitis Ivanans likes Mercedes, Army likes Range Rovers, Brownie likes Lexus, Nagy likes Mercedes and BMW, Visnovsky likes Ferrari's (which totally suits him), Handzus likes BMW, and Wilsie likes Lexus too.

Found a fucking puck
Army's flipper looks exactly like mine!

I've had a bummer day. I had to get away from the house so thank God Ashley went with me and we escaped to my new favorite place to be... the rink. We stayed until it was dark and didn't get home until 7:30. But, because of the time change, the rink lights didn't turn on, but some little skater kids watched for a few minutes while a smacked away at the pucks. I found a new puck while I was there, a black one with glider pins. That was pretty cool, free puck!

I was going through Youtube last night looking for any Kings videos that might be good. I found a MadTV one by accident. It had Thornton, Avery, and Kostopoulos. It was hilarious! She made Thorton take off his shirt, very nice by the way, and he has tatoos on both arms, and then she wanted the guys to teach her how to hockey fight. And someone hit a slap shot at her while she was in goal. The Kostopoulos says, "Sean's the fighter, we're lovers" and he was referring to himself and Thorty. And then Thorty was quicky to say "but not with each other!" It's really great.

There were a few other videos, and I got a few pictures from someone who actually got to see part of the Royal Race. They are so goofy I luv them.

He chews his gum like a cow when he gets excited

I believe he may be getting a pb&j sandwich out to give to the guy doing the charactiture, you have to see the video to understand the whole idea of the Royal Race (similar to the Amazing Race)
Not sure what he's doing here either, but they gave the guy a ton of Kings stuff. That's Army sitting back there, they were drawing him.
Raitis Ivanans and Lubomir Visnovsky watching (Name on Rice was the guy video-ing, it's not actually written on Lubo's jacket). Visna is taller than me and look at how short he is compared to my Raitis! Raitis is just freakin big, and that's perfectly fine with me. And Kopi is listed as an inch taller than Ivanans! I'd love to be able to feel tiny standing between them (Ivanans and Kopitar).
Kevin Dallman is the guy that looks like he has a shaved head back by the camera man. Dallman is awesome because we have the same birthday, only he is 9 years older than me

After today, this goes to Kopi.

"I Need You Tonight"

Open up your heart to me

And say what's on your mind, oh yes

I know that we have been through so much pain

But I still need you in my life this time

And I need you tonight

I need you right now

I know deep within my heart

It doesn't matter if it's wrong or right

I really need you tonight

I figured out what to say to you

But sometimes the words they, they come out so wrong, always they do

And I know in time that you will understand

That what we have is so right this time

And I need you tonight

I need you right now

I know deep within my heart

It doesn't matter if it's wrong or right

All those endless times we tried to make it last forever more

And baby I know

I need you I know deep within my heart

It doesn't matter if it's wrong or right

I really need you, oh

I need you tonight (I need you, oh I need you baby)

I need you right now (It's gotta be this, it's gotta be this)

I know deep within my heart

No, it doesn't matter if it's wrong or it's right

All I know is baby

I really need you tonight
